The scribe had his greatest dream come true as Pat Regan won the A Flight for the second Sunday on the trot with a dazzling 40 points to take the man of the match honours, and Peter ‘the Silver Surfer’ Henshaw topped the B Flight with 37.

Pat was one clear of pay window specialist JJ Maffray while Paul Danielz took the bronze via a count back over Chris Martin, both on 35 points
Bob ‘the Guru of Green Valley’ Lindborg followed Peter up the B Flight podium steps as he lost out on a count back. A second count back was required to separate Phil ‘the Welsh wonder’ Davies and Jorn Finnerup, both with even par rounds. When the divots had settled it was Phil who got to stand next to Bob on the podium, but one step below mind. Jorn did however benefit from the extra fourth podium step.
Monday, May 25, Khao Kheow B & C – Stableford

The trip to the favourite of many turned out to be well worth while as the course was in excellent condition.
Allan Wilkinson handled the heat and high humidity best as stunned the field with a 43 point masterpiece for the top spot in A Flight and the man of the match honours. Allan was five strokes clear of pay window specialist Paul Danielz and one more clear of Yves Moutier. A further point behind was Alistair Gall in fourth place. Peter Henshaw, Paul Bray and Steve Newlan were log-jammed on even par rounds for the fifth podium spot, with the scales of justice tipping in Peter’s favour, leaving Paul and Steve at sea level and potless.
Wednesday, May 27, Bangpra – Stableford
1st Paul Bray (9) 40pts
2nd Jean Chok Chak (20) 36pts
3rd Peter Henshaw (22) 34pts
4th Mike Allidi (2) 32pts
It seems each week he receives a compliment for his ever-improving play, and there is no reason that should not continue. Irishman Paul Bray, who resides in Australia, fired a magnificent 40 points at the field to take the top spot and the match honours. Paul’s front nine total of 24 points consisted of seven pars an eagle and a bogey and he finished four shots clear of second placed Jean Chok Chak.
Peter ‘the Silver Surfer’ Henshaw claimed his third podium spot this week with34 points while Mike Allidi rounded out the flight with 32.
Friday, May 29, Burapha C & D – Stableford
1st Rod Brown (16) 42 pts
2nd Yves Moutier (14) 36 pts
3rd Andy Kellaher (9) 36 pts
4th Jim Elphick (27) 35 pts
Just when you think Aussie Rod Brown has gone quite on the course – Boom – there he is on the top step of the podium. So it was as one of the most prolific Pattaya golfers continued his winning ways, this time at the always challenging Burapha.
Rod’s man of the match 42 points was six clear of the duo of Yves Moutier and Andy Kellaher; Yves’ inner nine 19 was enough to ensure him the silver spot on the podium. Jim ‘two shots’ Elphick closed the flight as he gained another count back verdict.
