PSC Golf from The CaddyShack
Tuesday, Feb. 24, saw the group travel up the 331 to find the good value that Greenwood offers throughout the year. The course was in good condition, with firm fairways offering some assistance, while the greens rolled fast and true. Clear skies greeted our crew, with a light breeze offering the golfers some assistance in keeping the comfort level acceptable.
We played the A & B combination from the Whites at just under 6500 yards, providing a challenge for all. With a few regulars off on sick leave, we opted for no competition, although Jamie and Chris continued their individual match play before heading back to China for work.
Bob Edwards (centre) was among the prizes at the PAGS monthly tournament.
With us backing up at Pattavia after the PAGS tournament the day before, where Bob Edwards (H/cap 11) got second spot in the A flight, and the ongoing illness of a few players, we only had a small field again on Thursday. The course was in good shape all round, with the greens offering some forgiveness, although downhill putts were still a challenge.
Note: The CaddyShack Restaurant & Bar is located off Soi 17 3rd Rd, or Soi 8 off Thepprasit Rd, South Pattaya. Golf from here will be generally played on Tuesday & Thursday with all competition fees returned in prizes, and the support of the owner offering additional incentives for golfers. As a PSC affiliated venue we welcome ALL golfers, including ladies & seniors (>60s) who have opted for the “Silver” tee option. Call 089 094 1841 for scheduling or enquiries. Hope to see you there, cheers & good golfing!
