PSC golf from Siam Country Resort
Tuesday, Sept. 10, Bangpra – Stableford
On Tuesday we journeyed to Bangpra to take on the course from the white tees at a tick under 6,500 yards. The layout was in good condition, with the greens being hard and fast, especially downhill.
Coming to terms best with the course was Owen Walkley (14) who fired a respectable 35 points to finish ahead of Martin Hayes (13), who edged Brian Maddox (21) on count back 17/13 after both signed for 30 points.

Thursday, Sept. 12, Pattana – Stableford
Thursday saw us visit Pattana, with the B& C combination our test of the day. Despite our organisor’s best efforts to get a good deal for our golfers, circumstances conspired to provide a poor turnout for a good course. Given the below par turnout we decided to not have a formal competition, with our low markers playing from the blue tees at 7100+ yards for the challenge while others played matchplay from the whites at a still challenging 6700 yards. A good day was had as the rain stayed away until after completion of the round.
Note: Siam Country Resort, Restaurant & Bar is located just off Siam Country Club Rd, after going under the arch past the 7/11, turn right after 50 metres, with the venue on the left another 200 metres along. Golf from here is generally played on Tuesday & Thursday, with the Resort hosting prompt presentations on both days.
