(PAGS) Pattaya Amateur Golf Series

The first event of the 2013 Pattaya Amateur Golf Series was held at Greenwood Golf Course on the 30th January.  98 players turned up, which would have been lots more but 15 players failed to show.  Unfortunately this is pretty standard practice for golfers in Pattaya but it didn’t spoil what turned out to be a great day.

There were a few changes to the series this year where we see the men joined by the ladies playing from the white tees with adjusted handicaps based on course and slope rating.  Overall the ladies struggled to cope with the extra length but one lady, Yuza, didn’t and managed a third place finish in C Flight with 37 points.

This year also sees the introduction of a low gross which was won by Bob Watson who shot a gross 77.

After the tournament everybody congregated back at Shenanigans in Jomtien for a BBQ and the prize presentation.  We gave away a total of 36 prizes and followed that with a 10 lucky draw prizes for all those who didn’t win on the golf course.
