PSC golf from Siam Country Resort
Tuesday, August 13, Bangpra – Stableford
Tuesday saw us visit the oldest course in the area, Bangpra, and quite possibly one of the best. The greens here are currently in some of the best condition I have seen them for more than a decade, and they are at least the equal of any in the area.
The rain threatened, but held off for the most part, so no excuses for the poor scores returned. Our best was 31 points, with Owen Walkley (12) edging Jeff Wylie (5) on a count back to the last 6, 12/9, after both signed for 16 on the back.
Near pins went to Willem & Jeff.
Friday, August 16, Treasure Hill – Stableford
Thursday was the PSC tournament at Siam Plantation, so we shifted our day to Friday in order to take advantage of the Treasure Hill Sports Day rate.

Jeff Wylie (5) gained some revenge over Owen Walkley (12) after both signed for 29 points. Again the count back went to the last 6 holes, 12/11, with both players having had 17 points on the inward Nine.
Near pins went to Jeff, Steve, Owen & Martin.
Willem Lasonder (21) played well at Siam Plantation the previous day, scoring a near pin and second in D Flight, while Paul Smith did the same in A Flight. Dave and Jeff couldn’t crack it for a prize, although Dave did get a lucky draw.
Note: Siam Country Resort, Restaurant & Bar is located just off Siam Country Club Rd, after going under the arch past the 7/11, turn right after 50 metres, with the venue on the left another 200 metres along. Golf from here is generally played on Tuesday & Thursday, with the Resort hosting prompt presentations on both days.
