PSC golf from Siam Country Resort
Tuesday, March 18, Greenwood – Stableford
Tuesday was a fine sunny day, with a light breeze blowing just hard enough to keep the heat at bay. Greenwood was our venue with the A & B course being our allocated test, with the fairways and greens being in very good condition, considering the recent dry spell.
Willem Lasonder (19) led the way home with 35 points, after a great back 9, beating Jeff Wylie (8) on count back 22/18. Near pins were spread around between Jonathan, George, Willem & Neil.
Thursday, March 20, Khao Kheow – Stableford
Thursday saw us travel the Hwy 7 north to Khao Kheow, with the C & A loops being our test of the day. The course was in great condition with the fairways well grassed and the greens running smooth, although a little slower than expected.

Jeff Wylie (8) gained some retribution over second placed Willem Lasonder (19), scoring a solid 38 points, to Willem’s 36. Near pins went to Jeff, Martin, and Tom with 2.
Friday saw a contingent from SCR play at Burapha in the PSC Charity Classic. The event was enjoyable, although it was a long day in the sun with the round taking well over 5 hours. Willem won a “C” Flight technical award and thanks go to Joe and his PSC team for providing the opportunity of a good day’s golf.
Note: Siam Country Resort, Restaurant & Bar is located just off Siam Country Club Rd, after going under the arch past the 7/11, turn right after 50 metres, with the venue on the left another 200 metres along. Golf from here is generally played on Tuesday & Thursday, with the Resort hosting prompt presentations on both days.
