PSC golf from Rendezvous Resort
Tuesday, June 18, Treasure Hill – Stableford
First to Tuesday when we travelled to Treasure Hill to find the course in good condition under clear skies. Leading the way with 36 points was Jeff Wylie (6) ahead of Brian Maddox (22) who shot a respectable 32 points. Near pins were spread around between Graham, Willem, Phill & Paddy.
Thursday, June 20, Plutaluang – Stableford
Thursday was a long awaited return to the Navy course with the West & North our allotted combination. The course was in generally good condition, the greens looking a picture, but as is the norm at Navy, the greens were very slow compared to most local courses requiring a hit rather than a stroke.

Phill Waite (13) came to grips best with the greens, showing great touch to hole putt after putt, at one point making 3 birdies on the trot, only to come home in an ambulance with 2 wipes. Still his 35 points was a clear winner, ahead of Jonathan Pratt (14) with 32, who edged Jeff on a count back 18/16. Near pins went to Phill & Jonathan, while Owen got 2.
Friday was the PSC monthly tournament at Eastern Star, with the course in reasonable condition, probably commensurate with the 600 baht green fee. Willem Lasonder (22) scored third in D flight with 2 near pins, while Paddy, should I say Big Hittin’ Paddy Devereux got the D flight Long Drive. Well done to the boys, while Jeff & Joel put a dent in the buffet at Lewinski’s, but no prizes this time.
