PSC Golf from Siam Country Resort
Tuesday, March 3, Silky Oak – Stableford
Tuesday we had an early tee-off on Silky Oak. It was the first time we played there with our group and many of us found the tee-offs over the water really challenging. We had a nice day, the weather was good and the rain did not come.
The course was nice and in a fair condition but by contrast the greens were not so good, which was a pity for such a scenic course. It was quiet though and it gave you the idea that yours was the only group out there.
Willem Lasonder.
The winner was today was Willem Lasonder (h/cap 21) with 34 stableford points while the runner-up was Jonathan Pratt (11) with 33. Near pins went to Owen Walkley, with two, and (Daniel Oshiro with a single.
Thursday, March 5, The Emerald – Stableford
Thursday was a surprising day. For the first time in 2 years we went to Rayong Country Club and we were all were curious as to how the course would be. When we arrived at about 9 a.m. we got our surprise. “You cannot play today, we have 200 Korean players.” Thank you for the late cancellation Rayong C.C.
After a call to The Emerald we were welcomed there and started about 10 a.m. with the first flight. It was a nice day, the course was in a good condition, and the weather just not too hot. It was also good to see a few old faces playing with us again today.
The winner was again Willem Lasonder with 38 stableford points ahead of Mam with 37 in second and Jonathan Pratt third with 35.
Near pins were equally divided today by Mam and Jonathan Pratt.
