With only 9 golfers prepared to brave the elements, it turned out to be a quick round of golf on Monday. We set out with three 3-balls and decided to play from the blue tees with ‘pick, clean and place’ being the order of the day.
It was raining when the buses departed the Swan but as the golfers drew closer to their destination there was no sign of rain and no sign that there had been any. The weather here can be very localized.
With a small field it only took one to break away from the pack and that was Steve Younger who finished with 36 points from his handicap of 15 to take the win. His nearest rivals had 32 pointswhile two golfers had 31.
