Hong Kong-based hotel development and management company Cachet Hotel Group (CHG) recently announced the opening of a new office in Bangkok in an effort to grow its footprint in the Southeast Asia region and to serve as the headquarters for a global design center.
“Our new Southeast Asia office underscores our commitment to this region,” said Alexander Mirza, CEO and President of CHG. “Furthermore, the establishment of an in-house design team will enable CHG to execute efficient conversions, lower development costs and deliver design innovation, resulting in higher returns on invested capital for our hotel owners and developers.”

To coincide with the office opening, Aaron Griffiths has been promoted to President of Southeast Asia operations and will oversee construction of CHG’s luxury boutique Chachet Bangkok hotel project currently under development and other development activities across the region.
Cachet Bangkok is part of the mixed use Smile Square development at the junction of Ploenchit and Wireless Roads, which includes retail space and the four-star convention hotel connected to Bangkok’s public transportation system, main shopping malls and tourist attractions by the Sky Walk. The 27-storey Cachet property will have 70 luxury hotel rooms, 224 serviced apartments, Laris fine dining and a luxury branded spa. Hallmark aspects of Cachet Bangkok will include an infinity pool, meeting and event space overlooking the city and a 400-seat entertainment venue that will have production shows and concerts.
The construction is being managed by Asia ThaiYuan Construction and Development and the project is expected to be open for business by late 2016.
