Thailand-based international real estate developer Country Group Development (CGD) and Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts recently announced plans for a luxury hotel and residential project situated along Bangkok’s Chao Phraya River.
The development, Country Group’s largest project to date and valued at 32 billion baht, is designed to offer a world-class waterfront experience and set a new standard in luxury and will be home to the new Four Seasons Hotel Bangkok at Chao Phraya River and Four Seasons Private Residences Bangkok at Chao Phraya River.

Developers say the hotel will include more than 300 rooms and suites as well as offer world-class amenities and dining alongside the customized service discerning guests have come to expect from Four Seasons. The Private Residences will consist of more than 350 all-corner luxury units in a 73 storey tower offering uninterrupted views of the Bangkok city skyline.
The low-density, mixed use development is a significant contribution to the revitalisation of Thailand’s greatest urban waterway. Spanning more than 350 meters of waterfront across 35-2-68 Rai, the new Four Seasons Hotel and Private Residences are projected to become one of Bangkok’s most exclusive addresses and emblematic of the finest in luxury residential and hospitality.

“Country Group is exceptionally proud to be collaborating with Four Seasons to develop one of Bangkok’s most iconic hotel and private residences, demonstrating our long-term commitment to the people of Thailand. Through our collaboration with Four Seasons, our aim is for Chao Phraya Estate to redefine the waterfront experience in Bangkok and Asia,” said Ben Taechaubol, Chief Executive Officer of Country Group Development PCL.
“Our contribution to the revival of the Chao Phraya River and skyline of Bangkok reflects our passion and respect for our city’s rich culture and history and our desire to see it be renowned as one of the greatest urban waterways in the world,” he said.
“After undertaking extensive relocation efforts and securing one of Bangkok’s last remaining undeveloped large parcels of riverside land in the CBD, our aim is to create a meaningful, luxury experience that is unmatched in the market. In aligning with Four Seasons, a global icon in luxury hospitality and utilizing world-class design teams, we are excited to set a new benchmark for luxury in Bangkok.”
Michael Crawford, President, Asia Pacific, Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts, commented: “We’re thrilled to be working with Country Group on the historic development of this unique and exquisite Bangkok landmark located on the banks of the Chao Phraya River. Bangkok continues to be a destination of choice for business and leisure travellers and this property will embody our commitment to innovation and exceed the expectations of our discerning guests.”
In designing the concept for Chao Phraya Estate, CGD appointed internationally acclaimed master-plan and design consultants Hamiltons International, alongside consulting interior design group BAMO to design an iconic property that maximises the best of waterfront living as a legacy to future generations.
Four Seasons Hotel Bangkok at Chao Phraya River and Four Seasons Private Residences Bangkok at Chao Phraya River are due for completion at the end of 2018.
