The Office of Consumer Protection Board recently organized a seminar entitled “Insights into Real Estate Consumers’ Problems” at the Miracle Grand Convention Hotel in Bangkok.
About 150 real estate entrepreneurs attended the meeting to hear a list of real estate related problems about which consumers had filed complaints to the OCPB.
Suwit Wichitsopha, one of the speakers at the seminar, said the complaints included failures to complete the construction of houses or condominiums, defects at houses or condos either before or after ownership transfers, and structural flaws which might possibly lead to fractures or collapses of buildings due to lack of construction standards, among other problems.
The OCPB hopes the seminar will lead to better standards of customer service being adopted in the real estate industry.
