Chatchawal Supachayanont (front row 5th left) GM of Dusit Thani Pattaya leads hotel staff and management during candle donation and merit-making ceremony at the Djittabhawan College for the Promulgation of Buddhism on Sukhumvit Road, Pattaya to mark Asarnha Bucha Day on 11 July. Apart from donating candles, the hotel also brought light bulbs, electric fans and other appliances, flowers, milk and other non-perishable goods to donate to the monks in the temples inside the college compound. The visit was part of its CSR commitments to society and support in preserving the Thai and Buddhist culture. The occasion is also known as the beginning of the Buddhist Rainy Season Retreat and is observed by donating necessities to temples and listening to Buddhist sermons, chants and prayers.
