As part of their ‘getting to know’ the various organisations in Pattaya, Leela Bennett (centre) the new Pattaya British Consul and her assistant Ell met with Bert Elson, the Secretary and Welfare Chairman of the Royal British Legion at their meeting place in Tropical Bert’s. The Consular section of the British Embassy and the Royal British Legion work closely together on issues involving past or present UK Service people who may find themselves in distress whilst in Thailand.

The ‘2554 White Cheers’ beach party brought a huge cheery feeling to the revelers of the Beach Club at the Pullman Pattaya Aisawan Hotel on Saturday, April 2. The theme was all about summer and the lively and wet Songkran Festival or Thai New Year. Celebrities included Salinee Panyarachun from Get Divas 102.5 FM, Philippe Delaloye (GM Pullman Pattaya Aisawan) and Sukanda Kittikunadul (Fashion Model for Maxim magazine).

Amporn Saengkaew, president of the Pattaya Press Club along with members of the Pattaya press visited the children of the Rangsit Babies Home who are housed at the Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn Vocational School due to flooding in their home. The kids were treated to a tasty lunch whilst the adults donated a washing machine and other necessary items for their use to their caretaker Phinya Jumroonsan.

Chatchawal Supachayanont (centre), GM of Dusit Thani Pattaya together with his management team celebrated the hotel’s latest achievement: receiving the ‘Certificate of Five Leaves’ presented by the Green Leaf Foundation (Thailand) recently. The award is in recognition of the hotel’s excellent management of its green practices and initiatives. The Certificate of Five Leaves is the highest recognition that signifies outstanding performance and Dusit Thani Pattaya has been enjoying the accolade since 2003. Earlier, the hotel was also awarded the Silver Certification Status from Earth Check after it successfully sustained its first Silver Status two years ago.
