BANGKOK, Thailand – Unna Chantawongwiriya, a 17-year-old Thai footballer, has made history by signing with the West Ham United Foundation Player Pathway U18s Women’s Team. She is the first Thai female to sign a contract with an English top-tier club.

Unna will train and compete with the U18 women’s team, playing as a midfielder, with the potential to move up to the senior squad in the Women’s Super League (WSL) in the future. She has trained at the Elite Performance Academy (EPA Bangkok), a training center officially partnered with West Ham United, since she was eleven years old, before she was selected to join West Ham United’s youth team.

Unna expressed her commitment to playing at the highest level and would proudly represent the Thai national team if given the chance. (PRD)
