The 18th Annual Cotton Fair will be opening at the Industrial Promotion Center on Thung Hotel Road on March 25 and will run through April 3 it was announced at a press conference held at Old Chiangmai on March 8, 2016. The press conference, which was held by the Association for The Promotion of Thai Small and Medium Entrepreneurs Chiang Mai: ATSME CM was attended by Wisut Buachum, Director of TAT – Chiang Mai office, Jetanipit Rodpai – Director of Office of Industrial Promotion Center Region 1, Siriporn Tantipong, President of Chiang Mai Industrial Council, Suwarattana Yawilert – Acting President of ATSME CM, and Chetpong Chaiwatthamrong, Chairman of the event.

The Cotton Fair is a popular event that will be open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. to promote the natural textiles and products of the North. There will have over 400 booths featuring cotton, silk, leather, and basket products as well as jewelry, décor, carvings and pottery. The Fair is a great success and a top destination for textile lovers garnering about 15 million baht in revenues at the fair in 2015.
