City officials Wednesday checked the progress of a water line installation on Soi Boon Nak where residents have been complaining about dry taps for two years.
Deputy Mayor Wutisak Rermkitkarn and city council members inspected the pipe laying on the street, also known as Sukhumvit Soi 31, and found that it still was only 30 percent complete.
The project was begun more than two years ago under Pattaya’s previous mayor.
Local residents hoped the visit would mean the city was finally taking their problem seriously.
