CCTV captures fatal shooting at Songkhla gas station; suspects identified as police close in.

SONGKHLA, Thailand – A 23-year-old man was gunned down while on his motorcycle at a gas station in Sadao District, Songkhla, January 5. CCTV footage captured the incident, with police investigating two potential motives: a love affair or disputes related to illicit business dealings.

The early morning attack, which occurred around 5:00 AM, involved three male suspects. One showed the victim a phone screen, possibly displaying a chat or post that triggered the conflict. Moments later, one of the assailants kicked the victim’s motorcycle, causing him to fall, before another suspect in a white long-sleeved shirt opened fire with a 9mm gun, fatally wounding the man.

The victim, identified as Nadon Sutthimitr, a former employee of the gas station, had reportedly come to refuel when he encountered the suspects. Witnesses suggested a prior history of animosity between the parties.

Police have identified the suspects, including the shooter, who has a record of carrying firearms. Authorities are urging the suspects to surrender; otherwise, warrants will be issued for their arrest. Investigation into the case continues.
