BANGKOK, 19 June 2013 The Fisheries Department, Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives along with the Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University and the private sector will jointly organize the 25th “Fisheries Day” Fair during the 28th June- 7th July 2013, at Future Park department store, in Rangsit area.
The purpose of the event is to raise funds for the Chulabhorn Foundation. In the fair, apart from a wide range of ornamental fish and rare fish species on display, the Faculty of Medicine, Siriraj Hospital will hold a number of exhibitions such as those on the 125th anniversary of Siriraj Hospital, medical knowledge with useful information for the public such as common diseases and illnesses, and displays of preserved body parts for medical study.
Medical advice and basic health check-ups will also be available. A talk on the topic of “How to Save a Drowning Child” will be given in a bid to lower the number of deaths from such an incident.
