BANGKOK – Business Development Department Director General Phongphan Jiarawanon said the agency has allowed 36 new foreign investors, mostly from Japan, Singapore and China, to open business in Thailand.
Those foreign investments will combinedly incur a registered 898 million baht capital and lead to the employment of 698 Thai workers.
In April 2016, four new businesses have been granted permission, representing a 13 percent increase from a previous month while the investment capital has increased by 61 million baht, representing a seven percent rise from the same period last year.
