440 New police officers in Yala take part in swearing-in ceremony

Yala, 10 May 2013, Over 400 new members of Special forces in Yala attended a swear-in ceremony before officially taking their posts in the troubled region. 

The ceremony, held at the Royal Thai Police office, was presided over by Yala Police Chief, Police Major General Peera Boonliang. Led by Commander of the Special Task force, Police Colonel Samart Vichaikhatka, the 440 new members of the new Special Force comprising reserved military and volunteer rangers took part in the oath-taking ceremony.

According to Police Major General Peera, the ceremony was aimed at boosting confidence, fate, and belief of the new officers, encouraging them to perform their duties to the best of their ability in the future.
