BANGKOK, Thailand – The 47th Home and Condo Expo has officially opened with the goal of stimulating the real estate market for 2025. Over 1,000 housing projects from more than 150 developers are featured, with financial institutions offering support to encourage consumer spending. The event is expected to generate approximately 4 billion Baht in sales.
Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister, Phichai Chunhavajira, emphasized during the opening ceremony that the real estate sector is a key pillar of Thailand’s economy, with a high level of investment that impacts many sectors. The expo provides an opportunity for consumers to find housing or condos that meet their needs, while also acting as a tool to stimulate market recovery and rebuild consumer confidence in the wake of recent economic uncertainty. The event showcases a variety of projects, including single-family homes, townhouses, and condominiums from across the country.
In addition to the event, the three major real estate associations in Thailand have proposed four key measures for the government to consider in order to make housing more accessible. These include reducing transfer and mortgage fees to just 0.01% for properties priced under 7 million Baht, relaxing the Loan-to-Value (LTV) ratio temporarily for two years, and offering low-interest loans from state banks to help low- and middle-income groups own homes. There is also consideration of reducing property tax rates.
Dolpiwat Pridaweepat, Deputy Secretary-General of the Housing Business Association, mentioned that in addition to government measures, the recent interest rate cuts by the Monetary Policy Committee (MPC) would play a crucial role in revitalizing the real estate market, especially among buyers who delayed their decisions last year. These measures are seen as essential in boosting the housing market and encouraging consumer decisions for those seeking homes or condos.
Developers are also offering attractive promotions, including special discounts up to 5 million Baht for early bookings, two years of free living, and free maintenance fees for up to 10 years.
This year, the 47th Home and Condo Expo features the theme “Sustainable Living for Better Life,” focusing on investing in sustainable real estate, both environmentally and in terms of quality of life. The expo showcases projects from across the country catering to both residential and investment needs, with exclusive offers from leading financial institutions, including low-interest loans available only at the event.
One of the highlights of the event is the chance to win a variety of prizes, including cash discounts and electronics valued at over 800,000 Baht for those who book a property during the expo.
For those looking for a home or planning to invest in real estate, the 47th Home and Condo Expo presents a great opportunity, especially with government and private sector initiatives offering the best deals for consumers. The event runs from March 20-23, from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM at Hall 5, LG Floor, Queen Sirikit National Convention Center.
