Four people returning from the Pattaya Music Festival were shot by unidentified gunmen in East Pattaya, allegedly for no reason.
The four unidentified men and one woman said they were on motorbikes near the Mae La-Or market when two men estimated to be in their late teens stopped their own bikes ahead on the road, turned and fired three shots.
All suffered wounds from the gunshots or resulting motorbike accidents and sought help from nearby businesses.
One of the victims shows his gunshot wound to paramedics.
One of the victims, identified only as 16-year-old “Nat,” insisted to police no one in his group knew the gunmen nor had any disputes at the music festival March 20.
Police were skeptical, assuming the gunmen had a grudge from before the concert or, perhaps, they were just out to cause trouble. Area CCTV camera footage is being used to try and identify the shooters.
