BANGKOK, 4 April 2013 People who are 60 years old and above will ride BTS trains for free during April 13-15.
Surapong Laoha-unya, Chief Operating Officer of Bangkok Mass Transit System Public Company, said the BTS will provide free services to elderly who are 60 years old and above. All they need to do is showing their ID cards at the ticket booth at all stations, while children under 90 centimeters tall will also have the same privilege.
He said the scheme is to help Thais foster relationship in their families, especially for the elderly who are an integral part of them, allowing family members to spend time with one another.
Those who are 60 years old and above will get the free BTS service during April 13-15, from 6 am to 12 am.
