VANG VIENG, Laos – On September 10, 2024, 7-Eleven officially opened its Vang Vieng City branch in Vang Vieng, Vientiane Province. The grand opening ceremony was attended by Dr. Siwiengsai Olaboon, Chief of the Vientiane Provincial Administrative Office, alongside 33-year-old Lao business partner Thungkaison Khammang and Thadree Chirabunjongjit, Managing Director of CP All Laos Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of CP All Public Company Limited.
This Vang Vieng City branch marks the first 7-Eleven in Vientiane Province and the eighth in Laos, following the company’s expansion since its first store opened in September last year. The expansion includes stores in Vientiane Capital, Champasak Province, and Savannakhet Province, located in communities and gas stations, receiving positive feedback from both local and international customers.

According to the Department of Tourism Development, Ministry of Information, Culture, and Tourism, over 1.5 million international tourists visited Laos between January and April 2024, a 35% increase compared to the same period last year. Most visitors come from Thailand, Vietnam, China, South Korea, the U.S., France, and the U.K.
