BANGKOK, 17 July 2014 – Acting Supreme Patriarch Somdet Phra Maha Ratchamangkhla Chan has expressed his approval and support for the National Council for Peace and Order, commending NCPO Chief Gen. Prayuth Chan-Ocha for his strength to carry out the tremendous task of administering the Kingdom.
The message was conveyed to the NCPO Secretary General, Gen. Udomdej Sitabutr, when he presented offerings on behalf of the NCPO chief to the Acting-Supreme Patriarch on the occasion of the Buddhist Lent Day.
His Holiness Somdet Phra Maha Ratchamangkhla Chan, also the abbot of Paknam Bhasi Charoen Temple, gave his blessing to the visitors and morale boost to the NCPO Chief and his staff. The monk also urged all Thais to have unity and maintain the five Buddhist precepts. The revered monk was quoted as saying that the NCPO has moved in the right direction. He also commended Gen. Prayuth’s prowess in administering the nation.
