BANGKOK – Major retail stores across Bangkok are now offering school supplies and student uniforms at discounted prices under the Ministry of Commerce’s campaign to help families shoulder household expenses.
Permanent Secretary to the Ministry of Commerce Wiboonrak Ruamrak said parents and children are able to shop for school supplies and clothes at discounted prices of up to 80% off at various stores including Suksaphan, Nomjit, Robinson and Big C to name few.
The campaign, which will last until May 14, a few days before the new school term begins, will help parents save as much as six billion baht in total.
The Permanent Secretary added that around 20 billion baht would be spent throughout the 18-day campaign.
