BANGKOK, 6 August 2014 Mr. Makin Petplai, President of the Airports of Thailand Public Company reports the AOT is giving priority to providing services to the disabled, women, and the elderly in airports.

Airports including Suvarnabhumi Airport, Don Mueang International Airport, Phuket International Airport, Chiang Mai International Airport, Mae Fah Luang Chiang Rai International Airport, and Hat Yai International Airport have launched a parking project for women called ‘Lady Parking’.

This project caters for a single woman traveling with children below 12 years of age. The airport has prepared a special parking area for them. The service will officially begin on 12th August 2014.

It is believed the project will increase customer confidence and security, since bright lighting has been installed, CCTV is in operation, and security guards are on patrol at the parking station.
