Bangkok – The Ministry of Interior has instructed all provinces to ready sacred water sources for the royal coronation of His Majesty the King, which will take place during May 4th to 6th, 2019.
The Deputy Permanent Secretary for Interior, Pornpoth Penpas, delivered a lecture on the sacred water sources and their consecration ritual for the royal coronation at a workshop on the royal coronation. The workshop was organized by the royal coronation’s public relations committee in collaboration with the National Broadcasting and Telecommunication Commission (NBTC) and the Government Public Relations Department (PRD).
Pornpoth said the Ministry of Interior, as the subcommittee responsible for preparing sacred water for the royal coronation, had formed four working groups to facilitate the preparation in each province.
He said the ministry has identified 107 sources of sacred water in 76 provinces nationwide.
He has instructed all provinces to prepare for the sacred water consecration ritual, which will be held from April 6th to 9th, 2019, with an emphasis on clean water. People can attend the ceremony by wearing a polite or yellow attire.
