Nakhon Si Thammarat, 9th September 2018 – Ambassadors from 10 countries have visited the southern province of Nakhon Si Thammarat along with their spouses at the invitation of the Tourism Authroity of Thailand (TAT).
Greeted by high-ranking members of the TAT and Nakhon Si Thammarat Provincial Culture Council, the ambassadors and their partners have toured Wat Phra Mahathat Woramahawihan temple, the Nang Talung shadow Puppet Museum of Suchart Subsin, and the royally-initiated Pak Phanang River Basin development project before being treated to a mud spa at Baan Laem Homestay in Tha Sala district.
The trip was part of the TAT’s promotional campaign for sustainable tourism. Nakhon Si Thammarat is one of the five provinces selected as must-visit destinations where the late King Rama IX’s royal development projects have become viable tourist attractions. The four other provinces are Chiang Mai, Ratchaburi, Rayong and Buriram. The ambassadors and their spouses are scheduled to return to the capital city today.
