AMCHAM representatives welcomed the Government’s visa measures, particularly visa exemption scheme, Destination Thailand visa, and other pro-business measures.

H.E. Mr. Maris Sangiampongsa, Minister of Foreign Affairs, welcomed and discussed with a delegation from the American Chamber of Commerce in Thailand (AMCHAM) led by Ms. Ornkanya Pibuldham, AMCHAM President, on ways to promote trade, investment, and economic partnership between Thailand and the U.S. that are mutually-beneficial on 21 August 2024.



AMCHAM representatives welcomed the Government’s visa measures, particularly visa exemption scheme, Destination Thailand visa, and other pro-business measures. They expressed readiness to work closely with the Government to promote investment and cooperation that would enhance Thailand’s capabilities in various sectors. The delegation also highlighted AMCHAM’s recommendations for promoting ease of doing business to draw more foreign investment.

On this occasion, the Minister underscored the importance of creating an environment conducive to businesses and foreign investment, and encouraged foreign investment, particularly through joint ventures, while also promoting potential joint ventures in key industries of mutual benefit, namely food industry, energy, and human capital development.
