BANGKOK, Thailand – January 16, 2025 – The American Chamber of Commerce in Thailand (AMCHAM) recently held its annual Strategy Session, bringing together its Board of Governors, Committee Chairs, and Council Leaders to outline strategic objectives and programming priorities for the year ahead.
AMCHAM President Chatit Huayhongtong, who also serves as President of Chevron Thailand, shared insights into the Chamber’s focus for 2025: “Following a successful 2024 with dynamic membership growth, an expanded policy platform, over 200 events, and strong external relationships, our 2025 strategy focuses on sustaining momentum, being the voice for American business with the Thai Government, and enhancing member services. We will continue leveraging leadership volunteerism to drive impactful programming and policy recommendations.”
The leadership team at AMCHAM organizes events that feature industry experts discussing critical business topics aimed at capacity building and knowledge sharing. Signature programs like “Connecting for Corporate Impact” unite professionals from member companies to address sustainability and corporate social responsibility, offering a platform for best practices, network building, and leveraging AMCHAM committees and councils as resources for professional growth.
AMCHAM’s priorities for 2025 include strengthening partnerships with the Royal Thai Government to foster a thriving business environment, expanding innovative event formats introduced in 2024, such as the Topgolf Foreign Chambers Open and New Member Brew and Buzz events, hosting the second annual Thai-U.S. Business Summit in collaboration with the Thai Chamber of Commerce and the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, enhancing premium flagship events like the AMCHAM Academy Residential, Corporate Impact Awards, and Governors’ Gala, supporting over 60 working group meetings on critical topics including customs, tourism, healthcare, sustainability, tax, and manufacturing, and growing the AMCHAM Thailand Foundation’s scholarship program to benefit disadvantaged Thai students.
With a membership base of 700 corporate members, AMCHAM continues to collaborate with the Thai government to enhance Thailand’s competitiveness and business environment. Programs like “Five to Thrive” exemplify the Chamber’s commitment to fostering a robust and progressive economic landscape. AMCHAM also remains dedicated to delivering unparalleled networking, advocacy, and professional development opportunities for its members.
