LOPBURI, Thailand – A tragic incident has unfolded in Lopburi, where an 18-year-old man was fatally mauled by two American Bully dogs. The victim, identified as Aphisak, was playing with the dogs owned by his older brother when the unexpected attack occurred on Aug 30.
The dogs, named Fino and Cesara, viciously attacked the teenager, inflicting severe injuries to his head and ears. Despite desperate attempts to escape, Aphisak succumbed to his wounds. The incident has left the family devastated, with the victim’s mother collapsing upon seeing her son’s body.
The dogs’ owner, Aphisak’s brother, expressed deep sorrow and remorse over the incident. He explained that he had bred the dogs himself and had grown attached to them. However, he has decided to find new homes for the animals, unable to bear the thought of living with the creatures that caused such a tragedy.
While one of the dogs, the mother of Fino and Cesra, has been adopted, the two siblings remain in the brother’s care. He is seeking responsible owners who can provide a loving and safe environment for them.
Experts have weighed in on the incident, highlighting the importance of proper training and socialization for American Bully dogs. Despite their reputation as friendly and gentle, these dogs can exhibit aggressive behavior if not raised correctly. The incident has also raised concerns about the lack of regulations governing the ownership and breeding of dogs in Thailand. (TNA)
