At the Town In Town Hotel on Pattaya central road, Baht-bus union president Thawat Puakboonak chaired the annual meeting to update drivers regarding regulations and plans to move into new areas.
The drivers were as usual urged to strictly cooperate with the regulations that are in place to keep the city moving image and best serve tourists that come here to Pattaya from all around the world.
The President said the union is working on expanding more routes to the outskirts of the city.
Baht Bus drivers pay close attention to the rules and regulations.
With 712 registered Songtaews over a 100 could be designated to take care of tourists who want to travel to their hotels and residences outside of the standard routes, and it was stressed that these should be charged at fair rates.
Other matters under discussion were loans that are available to members of the union.
