SAMUT PRAKAN – The Office of the Narcotics Control Board (ONCB) recently paid an inspection visit to Samut Prakan to follow up on anti-drug operations in the area.
Narong Rattananukul, Secretary-General of the ONCB, along with Samut Prakan authorities, inspected the progress of an anti-drug campaign launched under the “Pracharat” or “State of the People” approach in Muang district.
The campaign which seeks to eliminate drug abuse in local communities requires active participation by the public in order to effectively stamp out all illicit drug use. It also aims to assist those falling victim to drug addiction by providing drug rehabilitation treatment to the victims.
If successful, Mr Narong said local communities will be stronger while community members will be immune to external threats.
