BANGKOK, 20 August 2012 – Army Chief General Prayuth Chan-ocha has presided over a ceremony to mark the 110th anniversary of the Ordnance Department at the department compound.
As part of the ceremony to commemorate the 110th year since the founding of the Ordnance Department, Gen Prayuth presented a garland before the statue of His Majesty King Rama VI this morning before participating in Buddhist rites.
The Ordnance Department is a support unit of the Royal Thai Army and is responsible for providing the army with military materials, including weapons, ammunition and vehicles, as well as conducting research on ordnance service development for other army departments.
