Songkhla, 13 August 2015 – Nathawee Provincial Court has issued arrest warrants for 68 more suspects involved in the trafficking of illegal migrants in the South.
The suspects are allegedly members of human trading rings in Satun and Ranong provinces. Twenty six are wanted in connection with cases concerning human trafficking and 42 others are wanted in money laundering cases. Twelve of them have been arrested.
Songkhla police convened today to discuss the overall progress of high-profile human smuggling cases. The court has so far issued arrest warrants for 187 suspects, 72 of whom have been prosecuted. Questioning of witnesses is ongoing.
