Australian Ambassador pays official visit to PM’s Office

BANGKOK, 24 July 2015 – The Australian Ambassador has visited the Minister to the Prime Minister’s Office M.L. Panadda Disakul, saying he hopes the political situation in Thailand will return to normal soon.

M.L. Panadda welcomed the Australian Ambassador, His Excellency Mr. Paul Robilliard who was assigned to the post in Thailand last year. H.E. Mr. Robilliard expressed his concerns over the political climate, during his visit.

He encouraged the Thai people to stay united until the situation returns to normal. The Australian Ambassador also sought cooperation from the Thai public sector in order to help reduce the number of road fatalities in Thailand.

According to the World Health Organization, Thailand is listed among the top three nations with the world’s highest number of road accident deaths each year.

Moreover, H.E. the Australian Ambassador discussed with M.L. Panadda the possibility of establishing a joint education program between the two countries.
