BANGKOK, 16 July 2015 – Farmers joining the credit card-for-farmer project are to receive a 50-satang discount for every liter of gas they purchase under a new campaign to help reduce their expenses.
The Bank for Agriculture and Agricultural Cooperatives (BAAC) and PTT Public Company Limited have signed a memorandum of understanding to sell cheaper fuel to farmers who are credit card holders.
The MOU is meant to help shoulder the cost of production for farmers, who will be entitled to a 50 satang discount on every type of fuel purchased at 370 PTT gas stations nationwide.
They will also receive a 10% discount on the retail prices of lubricants.The BAAC is hoping the MOU will help farmers save as much as 80 million baht this year.
