UN Secretary-General said that he wanted both Thailand and Cambodia to stop the clashes on the border, by asking Thailand and Cambodia to patiently wait for a new measure to permanently stop the clashes.

In his statement he also said that the dispute between Thailand and Cambodia could not be solved by military methods, and he hoped that both sides would arrange a peaceful talk to find ways to end this dispute. He added that, earlier there were signs of improvement as there was support in the trilateral level to end this dispute.

However, the latest clashes has affected thousands of people who needed to be evacuated from the area, it is also considered one of the most violent since a ceasefire call from the UN in February.
