BANGKOK, 26 June 2015 – Bangkok’s main railway station will be relocated from Hua Lamphong to Bang Sue in the next four years, State Railway of Thailand Governor Wutthichart Kalayanamitr said.
Mr. Wutthichart said the relocation to Bang Sue in Chatuchak’s district would take approximately three to for fours to complete.
The station in Hua Lamphong would turn into a historical museum to attract Thai and foreign tourists, the governor added.
Hua Lamphong station was opened in 1916, following six years’ construction.
