‘Bangkok Car Free Day’ on Banthat Thong Road, admire sustainable urban living and street art Sep 21-22

Bangkok invites everyone to celebrate Bangkok Car Free Day 2024 by leaving their cars behind and enjoying public transportation to join the festivities. For the first time, parts of Banthat Thong Road will be closed to vehicles and opened up for pedestrians, turning the street into a space for people to walk, socialize, and enjoy various activities.

The event will take place on Saturday, September 21st, and Sunday, September 22nd, 2024, from 4:00 PM to midnight. The road closure will span from the Saphan Oon Intersection to Chulalongkorn Soi 12, transforming this stretch into a vibrant community area.



Activities will include Street Performances, Street Art, and other engaging experiences for all visitors. Everyone is encouraged to use public transportation to reduce traffic and celebrate the day in an environmentally friendly way.
