Bangkok extends EV transport for New Year’s Eve celebrations

The extended routes include No. 4-1 EV buses running from Phra Pradaeng pier to Bang Lamphu and No. 3-45 buses from Rama III road to Mor Chit 2 terminal – additionally, six other bus routes, including No. 1-3, No. 1-2E, No. 1-37, No. 1-39, No. 3-1, and No. 4-36, already operate 24 hours and will continue to do so.

Bangkok’s electric bus and boat services, operated by Thai Smile Group, are set to extend their service hours on New Year’s Eve to accommodate people celebrating in the capital. Kulpornphat Wongmacharpinya, CEO of Thai Smile Group, announced that two Thai Smile Bus Co bus routes will operate continuously throughout December 31.



The extended routes include No. 4-1 EV buses running from Phra Pradaeng pier to Bang Lamphu and No. 3-45 buses from Rama III road to Mor Chit 2 terminal. Additionally, six other bus routes, including No. 1-3, No. 1-2E, No. 1-37, No. 1-39, No. 3-1, and No. 4-36, already operate 24 hours and will continue to do so.

Thai Smile Boat will also extend the service hours of its electric boats until 3 am on New Year’s Day. This includes all EV boats, shuttle boats at Iconsiam-Si Phraya, CAT Tower pier, and the free shuttle boat service from Bukkalo to Iconsiam piers.



Furthermore, the City Line EV boat service from Sathorn to Phra Pin Klao bridge will be available until 3 am on January 1, catering to individuals attending countdown events.

These extended service hours are part of an effort to support the festive atmosphere in Bangkok during the New Year’s Eve celebrations, providing convenient transportation options for residents and visitors alike. (NNT)
