THAILAND EVENT: Suvarnabhumi Airport celebrates Songkran with a festival showcasing Thailand’s rich cultural heritage.
The event, running 1-20 April 2024, features a Buddha statue for traditional water blessings, demonstrations of scented candle and rice powder making, and lively performances of shadow puppetry and Kinkhara dancing.
From 13-15 April, people can also learn how to make traditional Songkran crafts.
This event celebrates Songkran’s recognition as a UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity. (TAT)
