BANGKOK, 12 September 2013 Former Prime Minister Banharn Silpa-archa has met with two PAD leaders to invite them to the upcoming political reform forum.

Former Prime Minister Banharn Silpa-archa, as a coordinator of the political reform forum, met with two former People Alliance for Democracy leaders Sondhi Limthongkul and Chumlong Srimuang to invite them to participate in the ongoing political reform forum aimed at seeking reconciliation and unity in the country. During the meeting, Mr Banharn assured the two leaders of the government’s sincerity in solving the current political deadlock.

Major General Chumlong, however, was clear in his response that the PAD would not take part in the forum, while urging the government to nip the problems, which included the 350 billion baht water management project and the amnesty bill proposed by Samut Prakan MP Worachai Hema in the bud. He added that if the government could do that, the political reform forum would not be necessary.
