BANGKOK, 16 September 2011 – The Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA) is prepared to organize the Bangkok Health Fair 2011 three times from this month until November, during which visitors can have their health examined for free.
Bangkok Deputy Governor MD Malinee Sukavejworakit chaired a press conference concerning the upcoming Bangkok Health Fair 2011, which will be arranged by the BMA’s Medical Service Department in honor of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej on the occasion of his seventh cycle birthday anniversary on 5 December this year.
The objectives of the event are to raise the public awareness of the importance of having good health as well as to educate people on how to stay healthy and stave off diseases. It will also help publicize the BMA’s readiness to provide Bangkok residents with medical services that are high-tech and on par with international standards. Medical examinations will be available to participants free of charge throughout the fair.
The Bangkok Health Fair 2011 is scheduled to take place at The Mall Department Store Bang Kapi during 23-25 September, JJ Mall during 14-16 October and The Mall Department Store Bang Khae during 18-20 November.
