BANGKOK, 31 May 2015 – As tomorrow marks the auspicious occasion of Vesak Day, one of the most important festivals in the Buddhist calendar, the Bangkok Mass Transit Authority (BMTA) will be offering free bus rides to famous temples of Bangkok.
To enable devout Buddhists to observe Vesak Day, the BMTA has prepared 20 buses to provide the public with free rides to nine highly-revered religious attractions around the Rattanakosin Island, which include the Marble Temple, Wat Sam Phraya, Wat Bowonniwet Vihara and Wat Chanasongkram.
Holiday makers or worshipers interested in visiting these best-known temples of the capital city can hop on the bus at new Mo Chit Bus Station. The trip starts from new Mo Chit Bus Station and ends at Wat Saket. The service is available from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
