BANGKOK,(NNT) – More boats have been added to the daily fleet of long-tailed boat services on Saen Saep Canal.
The Marine Department has enforced a new safety regulation prohibiting passengers to stand on public boats, forcing passengers to wait longer and causing many piers to become crowded especially during rush hours.
Marine Department Director-General Sornsak Sansombut has asked for more boats to be added to the morning service from 7.30 – 8.35 and the evening service from 5.50 to 6.35.
To further ensure passengers’ safety, several measures have been enforced by the Marine Department including the speed limit and the installation of CCTV cameras.
