BANGKOK, 3 April 2015 – The Bank of Thailand will issue an additional 10 million 100-baht commemorative banknotes, on the auspicious occasion of HRH Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn’s fifth cycle birthday.
The BOT Governor Prasarn Trairatvorakul has revealed that the BOT will be issuing 10 million additional commemorative 100-baht banknotes for the auspicious occasion of HRH Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn’s fifth cycle birthday, due to the high demand from the public.
The public can exchange existing bank notes for this new lot of commemorative banknotes at all branches of the Government Savings Bank, the Bank for Agriculture and Agricultural Cooperatives, the Government Housing Bank, and the Islamic Bank of Thailand from 27 April 2015. The current lot of this commemorative banknotes issued on 2 April 2015 is still available for exchange the current stock runs out.
The BOT Governor has said that the BOT will conduct a survey on the supply of these commemorative banknotes, to ensure that the supply will meet public demand.
