CHIANG MAI,(NNT) – The Botanical Garden Organization is showcasing the beauty of botanical plants amidst the mild climate of the northern region during the peak travel season, at the Botanic Festival 2017 which takes place during New Year holidays.
Botanical Garden Organization Director Pairoj Sattayasansakul has revealed the organization and the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment will be holding the Botanic Festival 2017 event from 24 December 2016 to 2 January 2017, welcoming both Thai and international visitors to Chiang Mai during the New Year holidays, through the presentation of beautiful botanical floras.
Visitors to the festival will be able to enjoy the spectacular beauty of various plants and flowers amidst the winter climate, and will have a chance to observe an exhibition showcasing the late King’s path of sufficiency, researches on plants, a demonstration of local delicacies, and can even buy the local goods and plants.
One of the highlights of this event will be the Canopy Walks, which allow visitors to observe the area’s rich natural scenery on a 20-meter tall elevated walkway, providing a panoramic view of treetops.
Visitors will also have the chance to see rare and endangered plants from various ecologies kept in special greenhouses, and the rotating exhibitions of plants, natural science, and the diversity of life and the environment.
